16"-1988-The Rhombic Dodecahedron is the substructure for this spherical painting. The four cornered vertices or junctions of the Rhombic Dodecahedron become the six vanishing points and the three cornered vertices become the corners of cubical buildings in the painting. Edges of the Rhombic Dodecahedron are also used as edges for objects in the painting. The animals, people and plants grow from a circle grid which fits tightly into the Rhombic substructure. Termes uses his intuitive mind to find these images which fit into these circle grids.
